Coaching at scale
Over twelve years, more than 4,000 athletes (collegiate and high school) trained across strength, conditioning, and performance. Coaching at that volume isn't about writing one perfect program; it's about meeting each athlete where they are and moving them forward from there. Some are ready to perform. Most need to be moved from not doing the thing to doing it, consistently, before performance is even the right conversation.
If that sounds familiar, it should. It's the exact thesis behind Arc Katalyst. The behavioral arc at the heart of that product came straight out of the weight room.
Building the field, not just running a program
Women's performance programs stood up at the high school level, alongside founding membership in the National High School Strength and Conditioning Association. The work of building standards for something new, not just operating what already exists. That instinct, to establish the rules a system runs on rather than improvise inside it, is the same one that later produced the doctrines and governance frameworks in my product work.
The throughline
Coaching is developing people toward an outcome they can't reach alone, and being accountable for whether they get there. Product ownership is the same discipline pointed at a different kind of team.
